Dewey Place Volunteer Drivers Needed

The dining site at Dewey Place Apartments needs a volunteer driver or drivers for the Meals on Wheels program that delivers nutritious dinners to senior citizens in the Foley area who are unable to get to the dining site. Drivers are needed on Tuesdays and Fridays from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.

If you can help as a driver or if you would like more information about this volunteer opportunity, please contact Shelly Sowers at Dewey Place at 968-6721 between 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Family Pathways thrift stores are a great place to hunt for bargains, be it clothing, household goods, furniture, or clothing. And, best of all, the proceeds go to help programs and services for families, youths, and senior citizens!

If you would like to volunteer at the thrift store you would be able to assist on the sales floor, sort and price merchandise, make displays or receive donations. The thrift stores provide an excellent way to fulfill community service requirements for work, school, or church.

Foley Area Jaycees

As a civic organization for young people, the Minnesota Jaycees are developing the next generation of leaders by providing opportunities to stand up and take initiative in their community.

We engage young people ages 18-40 through project management and social entrepreneurship that will make an impact in their communities and build leadership skills.

Jaycees around the state are responsible for organizing hundreds of community festivals, fundraisers for other nonprofits, and creating opportunities for community members to engage with one another.

As an all-volunteer grassroots organization, the Minnesota Jaycees offers the opportunity for a young person to find their own path in volunteering and service. While a grassroots organization, we also provide a connection to larger statewide, nationwide, and international impact. The Jaycees offers connection to mentoring, true ownership over work and connection to something larger than the individual-all things essential to the engagement of young adults in volunteering.
